Privacy
di-fi is in a closed beta, and you're one of its testers. This is what we keep, why, who processes it, and how to delete it, in plain words.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, your password (stored so that no one can read it, not even us), and the contact and note you gave when you asked to join.
- Your games: what you write in each story and the replies, so you can come back to it, undo turns, and download it.
- How replies were made: records of how each reply was produced, including your words, so we can fix what goes wrong.
- What you send us: feedback, ratings, and reports on stories.
- Stories you write, with their covers.
- Credits: what you received and spent.
- A security record of account actions such as signing in, publishing, and deleting an account. It has names, but not what you wrote.
What you write passes an automatic safety check before it's kept. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use it for anything but running and improving di-fi.
Who can see it
- Our admins, to run the beta, answer reports, and fix problems.
- The services that run di-fi, such as the hosting and the AI that writes the replies. They get only what they need to do that job: for a reply, your message and the story so far.
- Other players see only what you publish: a story you write, and your name as its author.
Cookies and storage
One cookie keeps you signed in. Your settings are saved with your account and in your browser.
Deleting it
In Settings → Account → Delete my account, you can delete your account and what it left behind:
- your games and the records that carry your words;
- your feedback, ratings, reports and credits history;
- the stories you wrote that aren't published.
A story you published stays for the players who are playing it, but no longer carries your name. Only the security record keeps your account name.
You can download any of your stories from its settings before deleting.
This is a plain-language note for the closed beta, not a legal document. Questions, or a request about your data: ask in the beta channel or write to the admin who approved you.
